Poor Connection, was designed by Theo Trefonides, Sebastian Logue, Abigail Lambert, and Zoe Marzi. The zine engages the increasingly complex tension between the public and private spaces that have transformed during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the public sphere is now hostile to organic interaction, through virtualization like Zoom, private spaces have become public.
In Poor Connection, each spread is intended to evoke and simultaneously displace a possible Zoom screen. The manipulation of visibility prompts the reader to investigate what is hidden and exposed, layered and nested within the spaces of the book.
